Shri Praveer Kumar is an officer of the Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IA&AS) with over 25 years of distinguished experience in public finance, audit, governance, and administration. He is presently serving as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, and holds the additional charge of Managing Director, HSCC (India) Limited.
He is an MBA (International Business), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). During his career, he has held several senior leadership positions under the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, including Director General (Strategic Management Unit & Professional Practices), Principal Accountant General-II (Maharashtra), Principal Director of Audit (Indian Accounts), Washington D.C., Principal Director (Personnel), New Delhi and Principal Director Commercial Audit (Kolkata). He has also served internationally as an expert on secondment to the State Audit Institution of Oman. As Managing Director of HSCC, Shri Praveer Kumar focuses on strengthening governance, ensuring financial prudence, and enhancing operational excellence in healthcare infrastructure consultancy.
Shri Hrishikesh Kumar joined NBCC in December 2015 as General Manager (Finance) and subsequently climbed up the ladder of success to become Sr. Executive Director (Finance). Presently, he is heading Corporate Accounts at NBCC and Simultaneously he is also working as CFO of HSCC (India) Limited.
Shri Kumar is a B.Com. (Hons.) and a fellow member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Shri Kumar has a diverse background working for reputable public and private sector organisations in PMC and construction, infrastructure and real estate, and mining. He has the rich experience of more than 30 years in the fields of corporate accounting, Treasury and Fund Management, Tendering, Financial Concurrence, IPO, Cost and Management Accounting, Inventory Management, Budget and Budgetary Control, Contract Management, etc. He has been instrumental in bringing various systematic improvements to the internal procedures of the company. Shri Hrishikesh Kumar has been awarded with CMA Young Achiever (2014), CFO Next 100 (2014), CMA Achiever Award (2024), and featured in “The Inspired 100” (2025) book published by ICMAI.He has been certified as a Corporate Director (CCD) by the prestigious Institute of Directors (IOD), India.
